{"content":"🧠 Altcoins Go Institutional — How ETFs and Treasuries Are Changing the Game Bloomberg Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) analyst James Seyffart discussed how the long-awaited altcoin season may vary from past cycles after Digital Asset Treasuries and institutional acceptance. Already Altseason? James Seyffart, Bloomberg senior economist and ETF specialist, told Milk Road's Jay Hamilton that the four-year cycle idea has “lost a lot of value,” at least for this cycle. “I'm not saying this time is different, but I don't think we'll peak later this year and drop 80%. I doubt that will happen again, he said. The analyst earlier said that institutional adoption and treasury businesses would lessen the cycle's amplitude, adding that this hypothesis has been “muted” and “It won't be as strict as on the money, where everything collapses in November or December.” He said in the Thursday interview that institutional adoption, Digital Asset Treasury Companies, and Initial Public Offerings are driving a "corporate" altcoin season, Seyffart believes DATCOs are “taking a lot of steam” from any conventional altcoin season since “they’ve been on absolute fire.” He claimed that institutions are hosting the widely awaited cryptocurrency season on public markets in the immediate term: It seems that this market is currently institutionalizing. I believe altcoins won't run like they did in the past. Most of the money driving Bitcoin and ETH right now is institutional. Despite enthusiasm in the investment products, the ETF expert said neither institutional money nor the long-awaited approval of several altcoin-based ETFs can spark a surge like the BTC or ETH-based products did at debut. “Do not assume that XRP ETF will receive the same amount as Bitcoin ETFs Canary Capital CEO Steve McClurg predicted $5 billion in first-month inflows for the XRP spot ETFs. After BTC, Wall Street investors are most familiar with XRP, which may boost adoption from the start and outperform Ethereum ETFs. #ListedCompaniesAltcoinTreasury #MarketPullback #BTCvsETH ","images":["https://d2kdcqywr8ua22.cloudfront.net/uploadfile/article/blog/2025092025/09/06/54c02846dc2a4104b794b2a179237c3d.png"],"tags":[],"tradingPairs":["XRP/USDT"],"quotearticleid":0}
