The cryptocurrency investment business Galaxy Digital has tokenized some of its shares on the Solana blockchain, as announced on Wednesday. GLXY shareholders may tokenize their shares on Superstate's Opening Bell. These tokenized shares and future Opening Bell listings may be connected with Automated Market Makers and other DeFi platforms to increase liquidity and usefulness. "We're proud to be working with Superstate to build an on-chain capital market that connects traditional equities with next-generation infrastructure," Galaxy founder and CEO Mike Novogratz stated. Superstate CEO Robert Leshner says it's the first public firm to tokenize SEC-registered equities on a blockchain. Galaxy Digital announced that Superstate, the official transfer agent, updates ownership data when confirmed participants move on-chain. The business said the action coincides with SEC Chair Paul Atkins' July Project Crypto proposal. Securities legislation will be modernized to "enable America's financial markets to move on-chain."
