Two people died and hundreds were arrested across France after Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) won the Champions League final. A 17-year-old was fatally stabbed in Dax, and a 23-year-old died in a scooter accident in Paris.
Celebrations turned violent with fireworks, burning cars, and vandalism. In total, 559 people were arrested, including 491 in Paris. Nearly 200 were injured, and several shops were looted. Paris police deployed 5,400 officers and used water cannons and tear gas to control riots.
Officials said many rioters weren’t fans but came to cause trouble. Despite the violence, most PSG supporters celebrated peacefully. The Eiffel Tower lit up in PSG colors, and President Macron praised the win. A trophy parade will go ahead in Paris with tight security, followed by celebrations at the Parc des Princes and a reception at the Élysée Palace.","images":["https://d2kdcqywr8ua22.cloudfront.net/uploadfile/article/blog/2025062025/06/01/f13e82bee44b47ae895c4b4127d40bbb.jpg"],"tags":[],"tradingPairs":[],"quotearticleid":0}
